Does Truv Report Criminal Records?
Overview
Truv is a consumer-permissioned data platform used to verify income, employment, and assets. We do not conduct criminal background checks, nor do we maintain or report on criminal records, charges, or expungements.
What Information Does Truv Report?
Employment Data:
- Job title
- Employment status (active/inactive)
- Job type (full-time, part-time, seasonal, daily, contract)
- Start date and original hire date
- End date (if applicable)
Income Data:
- Base salary or hourly rate
- Income amount and pay frequency (monthly, semi-monthly, weekly, bi-weekly, annually)
- Payment rate per pay cycle
- Overtime pay
- Commission
- Bonus
Pay Statements (Paystubs):
- Pay date and check number
- Gross pay and net pay (current and year-to-date)
- Regular pay, overtime, bonus, and commission amounts
- Work hours during pay period
- Detailed earnings breakdown by category
- Detailed deductions breakdown (taxes, benefits, retirement, etc.)
- Pay period dates
- Original paystub files (PDF format)
Tax Documents:
- W-2 forms with wages, federal tax withheld, Social Security wages and tax, Medicare wages and tax
Identity Information:
- First name, last name, middle initials
- Social Security Number
- Date of birth
- Home address
Employer Information:
- Employer name
- Employer address
- Employer phone number
- Employer Identification Number (EIN)
Banking Information:
- Direct deposit account details (account number, routing number, bank name)
- Deposit allocation (entire paycheck, percentage, or fixed amount)
Annual Income Summary:
- Year-by-year breakdown of regular salary, bonus, commission, overtime, and other pay
We do not have access to, and therefore cannot report, information from court systems, police databases, or the Department of Justice.
